Two weeks from today (February 1st), I'll be leaving the U.S. to begin the next chapter of my life: ministering with TWR Europe in Bratislava, Slovakia! I can't believe the time is actually here. THANK YOU for all your encouragement, support, and prayers that made this possible! I am so blessed!
After my final pre-field training (SPLICE) last month, I got to spend the holidays with family and friends in Waukesha, WI. This month has been spent in Colorado making final preparations for the move to Europe.
There is already an apartment lined up for me in downtown Bratislava. As my dad would say, "You're all invited to come visit. Just don't all come at once." :) Upon arrival, I will apply for a work visa. At some point in the near future, I will be joining another TWR Europe team for a short internship.
In some regards, I feel like my life is just beginning. Coupled with my excitement are some anxieties and insecurities. With God's help, I hope to thrive in this role I've been given. Please keep me in your prayers, and please keep in touch! THANK YOU!
prayer:
- Our family was shocked to hear earlier this month that my mom was diagnosed with breast cancer. My parents are coming back to the U.S. from Brazil tomorrow (19th) to get my mom treated in Wichita, KS. I am so grateful that I will get to spend a few days with them before my departure. We are all very optimistic, but it is definitely heavy on my heart as I prepare to leave.
- Transition process.
