CORNERSTONE 2010:
I got to spend a week of heaven on earth with some of my closest friends in the world and hear a lot of good music! Highlights of the week included watching The Glorious Unseen three times, seeing Write This Down for the first time, Daniel Schuring's "healing" experience, Guy Burkhead's rendition of "Sweet Jesus," watching replays of World Cup games at 3 AM, crowd surfing during Children 18:3's set, and having a few sips of the world famous strawberry lemonade shake up.

Here are bands you need to check out:
Write This Down (the next big thing in Christian rock!!)
Ian McIntosh (worship Sigur Ros style)
The Ember Days (Kiwi worship...they're from New Zealand)

TWR:
Partnership Development is coming along! I now have 6 families supporting me (I need around 50 to reach 100%), so I'm really encouraged. Some unexpected gifts have blown me away! Hopefully this time next year, I will be well into my time with TWR in Slovakia.

WORLD CUP:
Hopefully everyone has considered watching this event a full-time job! It's the biggest and best sporting event, and it only happens once every four years. There have been some heart-breaking moments, some luck, some terrible calls by referees, but after all is said and done, the two best teams in the world are in the final. Make sure you watch Spain vs Holland this Sunday (11th) at 1:30 CST on ABC. Expect the most intense and well-played game you've ever seen!

BIBLE:
Luke 6:46-49 NKJV
46 "But why do you call Me ‘Lord, Lord,’ and not do the things which I say?
47 Whoever comes to Me, and hears My sayings and does them, I will show you whom he is like:
48 He is like a man building a house, who dug deep and laid the foundation on the rock. And when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently against that house, and could not shake it, for it was founded on the rock.
49 But he who heard and did nothing is like a man who built a house on the earth without a foundation, against which the stream beat vehemently; and immediately it fell. And the ruin of that house was great.”

Just read this today and was challenged/convicted. I always ask God for clear direction in my life, but then I don't even obey the clear direction that He's already given in His Word. It's so easy to look down on the Pharisees for being hypocritical when we tend to be no different.

THE END:
The end of this blog.

  1. Ian McIntosh's music got me through a summer alone in Texas last year.

And who needs a World Cup when Bleach is back together and played at Cornerstone?
